Mississippi River Ride Has One Opening!

Did you miss out on signing up in time for the 3-Day Mississippi River Ride, July 22-23-24? You could be in luck! We now have a spot for one car to join the trip. If you are interested, contact Marcy Hotz at marcyh@wi.rr.com or text 414-507-4110.


Some changes were necessary to our planned stops due to timing and other reasons. These updates will be mailed to all participants on the ride.

On our 2½ day drive, you will follow the Mississippi north on the Wisconsin side and south on the Minnesota and Iowa side. You will see some incredible views, ride through many small river towns, drive past lots of trains and enjoy a diversity of stops: a fish hatchery, a sculpture garden, a winery, a toy factory/museum, a lock-and-dam and more.

When you call them to make your reservations, tell them you are with the Badgerland Miata Club to get our special rate of around $65 per night. Request either a king room or 2 double beds. If you need first floor accommodations, let them know when you make the reservation. This is a pretty basic motel; there is no swimming pool. There is a decent lobby where we can hang out after we get back from dinner and there are free breakfast items in the morning. There is a Kwik Trip right next door.

Some of the BMC is staying in Platteville the night before the ride (July 21). If you wish to stay with the group, call the hotel directly at the number below for reservations. (You may stay elsewhere if you wish, of course.)
