Dear KM/Holy Hill Riders:
Here are all the details for the South Kettle Moraine & Holy Hill Ride on Saturday, October 23rd. If you have any questions, please call or email Jim or Marcy. We are happy to have 19 cars
joining the ride, and we look forward to a great day with we hope good weather and maybe some good fall color.
Join us for a twisty, scenic ride through the Southern Kettle Moraine area. We begin in Delafield at the Nagawaukee Park-N-Ride adjacent to the Naga-waukee Ice Arena, 2699 Golf Rd.
Delafield, WI 53018. We encourage you to stop at the Kwik Trip just south of I-94 on the west side of Hwy. 83 to fill up your tank prior to coming to the Park-N-Ride.
We will use both CB and FM. Bring both if you have. Hotzes will lead, Staubs will Sweep. We will choose a "Rocking Chair/Relay" (middle car) from among those who have a good CB
and an FM hand-held.
We ask you to print out a route sheet (4 legs click here). You may also download it from Ride with GPS and print the Cue Sheet
or send it to your GPS. The legs are in 4 separate files, one for each leg. Look in the COLLECTIONS section of RWGPS.
Arrive between 8:30 and 9:00 am to sign the paperwork and schmooze with your fellow Miatans. Drivers' Meeting will be at 9:00 am, leaving promptly at 9:15. We will follow scenic roads
over hills and valleys (actually, kames and kettles) to Mukwonago.
Our morning pit stop is at the wonderful Elegant Farmer – this is the last weekend of their Autumn Harvest Fest. You may want to bring a cooler for your purchases! Or have a little nosh -
but don’t eat too much! From here we head to lunch at Ella's Public House in Wales. Our limited lunch menu is:
Ella Burger - Caramelized onions & mushrooms, bacon, aged cheddar, lettuce, tomato - $12
Veggie Burger - Black bean burger, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion - $12
Shaved Prime Rib Sandwich - House smoked prime rib, garlic aioli, caramelized onion, mushrooms, au jus, horseradish cream sauce, ciabatta baguette - $17
Genesee Chicken Sandwich - Marinated grilled chicken, cheddar & Swiss cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, garlic aioli - $13
Spinach Salad - Spinach, seasonal fruit, red onion, crumbled goat cheese, candied pecans, tossed in balsamic vinaigrette - $10
Following lunch we head to Holy Hill. Located on 435 acres of glorious scenery on the highest elevation in Southeastern Wisconsin, Holy Hill is a destination open to the public which
draws hundreds of thousands of sightseers annually. You may climb the tower for a fabulous scenic view, walk the life-size stations of the cross, or visit the gift shop.

We will drive more scenic roads around the area before heading to a 5 pm dinner in the private room at Boondocks in Stone Bank, west of Hwy. 83 on Hwy K.
