Update #2, (February 30, 2026)
Update:
I have just confirmed with the owners of the mansion that they will not charge admission for us. Normally the cost is $18. I know they have a connection to Pathfinders, a local non profit that helps many
at risk individuals . I think making a contribution to Pathfinders would be much appreciated, so I am proposing that each person contribute $5. I will collect that amount before we go in.
Please join us on Wednesday April 29 to explore Milwaukee history. Our day will begin at 10:30 for a private tour of the 1890 Victorian Queen Anne style mansion owned by Victor Schlitz.
His uncle was Joseph (owner of Schlitz Brewery). This magnificent home is located at 2004 W Highland Ave. Parking is available on Highland as well as side streets near the home.
The current owners Tim and John will give us a 1 hour tour showcasing their many antiques and collectibles. (There are some stairs to navigate). We will go in as a group so please gather outside.
Following our tour we will head over to Motor Restaurant in the Harley Davidson complex located at 400 W Canal St for lunch. Separate checks will be accepted. We may have a limited menu to choose
from but that will determined based on the number attending the event. Following lunch those interested can explore the museum on your own.
When registering for event also include at least 1 cell #. I will post any updates mid April. For any questions please call Mary Lynn at 414-248-3252 or Tom at 414-248-6096
