MPTV Auction

Hosts: Ginger Carney

Update #1 (January 4, 2017)

As we have done for the last several years, Badgerland Miata Club members are planning to work behind the scenes of The Great TV Auction. We will be taking bids as viewers call in or “stage” tables for display.
After our shift, we will once again do what BMC members do best besides driving: eat! A relaxing meal at a nice restaurant along with good conversation with BMC friends will be the perfect ending to our busy' fun day.

If you are not familiar with The Channel 10 Great TV Auction, here are some facts at a glance:

  • premiered in 1969 with a goal of raising $50,000 with a volunteer base of 250
  • presently raises in excess of $1,200,000 with a volunteer base of 2,000
  • supports 10 minutes of every hour of programming on Milwaukee PBS
  • reaches an 11 county viewing area across Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois
  • made up of 2,000 volunteers, 6,000 donors and supporters, and countless buyers
  • leads the nation’s PBS auctions in prime time viewer ratings
  • is the #1 PBS Auction in the nation, based on net revenue
  • has won five PBS awards for fundraising excellence
  • features art and antiques in a public exhibit and on-air

  • Update #2 (April 9, 2017)

The time has changed for the auction, it is now 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. There is no parking at the station so we will be meeting at the north end of the Mayfair Collection Parking Lot at 1:50 (look for a yellow school bus). The bus will leave there at 2:00 and take us to the station. The Mayfair collection Mall is located at 115th ST and Burleigh RD.
