Update #2 (July 2, 2017) Meet at the Bergstrom Mazda dealership on Victory Lane at 9:00am with a full tank of gas. Coffee and refreshments will be available in the showroom. There will be a short presentation by a Bergstrom representative followed by a mandatory drivers’ meeting. Cars roll off at 10:30am sharp.Since this event seems to have started based on a three sided destination, I guess I should be doling out information in 3's as well. The route and types of roads will differ from last year’s run, opting for longer stretches of open highway. We will head north up the east side of the Fox River from Kaukauna to Wrightstown and then zigzag on county roads of Brown, Calumet, and Manitowoc counties. Our lunch destination is the Lighthouse Inn on the shores of Lake Michigan at Two Rivers. We then drive along Lake Michigan south to Manitowoc and then southwest toward beautiful Elkhart Lake where we will stop for ice cream and stretch our legs. The third leg of the run will be through the northern Kettle Moraine area where we have planned a course of winding and hilly roads, including driving along Long Lake. We then proceed north and west through a hilly region toward Mount Calvary and finally end up at Lake Winnebago near Peebles at Highway 151. We have planned to end the ride at a convenient Park and Ride near Fond du Lac. At this time, drivers can decide to drive home or make plans with co-riders for dinner in Fond du Lac. Like last year, we are limiting the ride to 25 cars so sign up soon to reserve a spot. To sign up, please send an email to Dan Dahl and the webmaster will add you to the list.
