Fat Tuesday Dinner

(Posted March 5, 2016)

by Pat Kobus

"The Good Times Rolled" for lucky Miata members who partied at The Brass Alley on Fat Tuesday night.

We had a great group of revelers eating tasty delights, most trying alligator bites which were, of course, "like chicken," but a bit not, and fried green tomatoes with brie and bacon, yum, also tasty dishes including shrimp and grits, hearty scallop or shrimp po-boy sandwiches, jumbalaya, a complimentary festive dessert, and a wonderful variety of Happy Hour drinks which continued to be "Happy Priced" all night long.

Music was very good and not too loud, so we could chat easily. The warm atmosphere of the Brass Alley with masked waiters and beads galore lent to the festivity and coziness, warming us on a cold February night in downtown Milwaukee. It perked us all up and relieved cabin fever, especially seeing everyone so cheerful--even the parking meter was festooned with beads.

We all had a truly lovely evening.
